Summer in the Cities
After spending several days on the road, I'm always happy to come back to Minneapolis and St. Paul. What a great place to live! Below you'll find some ways to enjoy the remaining couple of months of summer in our cities.
Minneapolis Music and Movies In the Parks
Enjoy music and movies outdoors in one of the many lovely parks in Minneapolis. The movies are FREE and run 6 nights a week! It's a great date night idea or simply an opportunity to get out and meet other Minneapolitans.
Minneapolis & St. Paul Food Trucks
All the rage this summer are various street food trucks peppered throughout the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. From basic to exotic, there's something for everyone. It's also a great way to get outdoors and see parts of town you haven't visited in awhile!
Minneapolis Farmer's Market
Open 7 days a week from May to December, the Minneapolis Farmer's market is a staple for fresh, organic, local and humanely raised food. Sweet corn and other wonderful summer harvest veggies are now available. Smaller than Minneapolis' market, The St Paul Farmer's Market is still packed with delicious local food.
Minnesota State Fair
A love it or leave it occurrence at the end of every August, the Minnesota State Fair attracts over 100,000 visitors per year. If it's been a few years since you've gone, maybe give it another shot or look to their site to determine less busy days. This year, the grandstand is hosting Steely Dan, Heart and other big ticket bands. Whether you go every year or not at all, there's no denying this is the Great Minnesota Get Together!
These are just a few of the great things going on in our cities this summer. Check out these links to see other attractions, shows, events and the like.
